In December of 2015, Grand Caribe Belize was aired on the acclaimed game show, Wheel of Fortune, as THE featured prize for the “Exquisite Views” segment of the show, and Samantha Zweben was the competitor to nab that prize.
Last week Samantha collected on her winnings and checked into Grand Caribe Belize on July 22nd, along with travelling companion, Amy Turner. The two were immediately taken by the level of Belizean Hospitality they received. “This is being a lovely experience. I love everything about Belize. The second we landed, everybody was sooo welcoming, everybody says hello, every single person you meet says hello, I love the view, I love the weather, it’s unbelievable”.
We caught up with Samantha and Amy to chat a little bit about their visit with us. We were really excited to find out about her participation as well as what led her to competing. Samantha informed that as a youngster, she was a huge fan of the show. “I’ve been watching wheel of fortune for 30 years, with my grandmother. She taught me how to play the game. She taught me strategies. I was playing for a very long time but at my house. And then when I met Amy – she was like, you know you’re really good. You should be on the show. So I sent in a video. After I sent in the video, they called me for an audition – and then within a week and a half, I received a call inviting me to be on the show. I was super excited.”
And the puzzle that she solved to win her this exquisite vacation – “Exquisite Views “. Here’s a snippet of the point where she actually won the prize.
The girls won a 7 nights’ stay at the Luxurious Grand Caribe Belize Resort on Ambergris Caye, Round Trip transfers from the Phillip Goldson International Airport to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, and a full Itinerary of fun filled of activities, highlighting the various attractions the country has to offer.

When asked what she would tell future travelers about her visit, she stated “I would tell everybody, 100% to come to Belize and to stay at the Grand Caribe, because it really does feel like Paradise, and everybody is so nice. Everyone makes us feel like we were at home. I feel like I’m always nice, but people are not always nice back. However, here, 100% of the time, “I get it back. “
