It’s that time of year again, and we are excited and looking forward to our third annual Deep Sea Classic Fishing Tournament to be held the weekend of July 19th – 21st. Thanks to our many sponsors, the prizes total to over $55,000BZ.
The event is scheduled to kick off on Thursday July 18th at 6pm at Grand Caribe Resort with a briefing, Calcutta and Captain’s dinner. One of the highlights of the night will be the auction of art pieces, from this year’s special t-shirt designer, international marine artist – Carey Chen along with one from our very own local marine artist – Ernest Garcia. Proceeds of the night’s auction goes to charity, the Hope Haven Children’s Home.
Then the big event for the weekend starts on Friday July 19th with Bimini at 6am at our dock and end on Sunday July 21st at 1pm, where awards and prizes will be given out. The deadline for registration is Thursday July 18th at 10pm.

While the avid anglers are out competing, the excitement continues onsite with a fun Volley Ball Tournament and Kayak Race. Prizes are as follows:
Volley Ball Tournament (Preliminaries on Saturday at 10am. Finals on Sunday at 11am)
1st Prize : Two – 1 Night Stay at Grand Caribe, $500 Cash, Trophy & Eye Wear
2nd Prize: $300 Cash, Trophy, Gift Basket & Eye Wear
3rd Prize: $150 Cash, Medal & Gift Certificate
Kayak Race (Saturday 1pm – 5pm)
1st Prize – $300 Cash plus trophy
2nd Prize – $200 Cash plus trophy
3rd Prize – $100 Cash plus trophy
And that’s not all! There will be live entertainment from an international band performing on Friday and Saturday at 5pm – 7pm. Shore guests will also have an opportunity to win a Helicopter ride for 4 persons to the Belize Blue Hole. With every purchase of food and beverage at the Pool Bar, Rain and Aqua, a ticket with your name and number will be entered for a chance to win; the raffle will be drawn at the prize giving ceremony on Sunday.
