Deep Sea Classic Fishing Tournament
A Decade on the Line
For ten years, the Grand Caribe Deep Sea Classic has brought anglers together on Ambergris Caye for competitive fishing and island camaraderie. The 10th Annual tournament marked its biggest year yet, welcoming 61 boats and crews from Belize and beyond for an Offshore World Championship qualifier featuring all-release billfishing and more than $100,000 in cash and prizes.

Day 1
Lines went in at 6:00 a.m., and it took just 30 minutes for the first blue marlin to put points on the board. By the end of Day One, three blue marlin had been released as crews battled it out with tuna, dorado, and wahoo also making their way to the scale.

Day 2
With the championship still up for grabs, another 6:00 a.m. Bimini start sent crews back out for 12 final hours of fishing. Blue marlin releases, a tournament-first sailfish, and a busy rodeo bite kept the standings moving until Changed My Mind emerged on top.
