The Christmas Boat Parade, which has been deemed as “one of the favorite holiday happenings on Ambergris Caye” is truly a magical holiday tradition for all ages. The parade continues to be a premier event during the holiday season in Belize that brings joy and happiness to all come out to watch or participate.
This past weekend marked the 7th Annual San Pedro Lighted Boat Parade. Large and small boats lit up the shore as a dazzling array of holiday lights and music. The boats beautifully decorated for the holiday season with animated Christmas scenes, music and costumed carolers.
Boat owners put a lot of time and effort to decorate their vessels for the event. The boat parade route started at Wayos beernet beach bar 6:00pm and they sailed down to Caribbean Villas and back to Central park for the awards ceremony.
Afterward in the park everyone enjoyed Isla Bonita Marching Band, Award ceremony, Christmas caroling competition, music and there were booths set up with food and drinks for sale.
