So if you’re ready to take the leap, here’s an update from our team on what’s new and what we’ve done to help you make your travel plans with confidence.
One of the perks of staying at Grand Caribe is that it actually functions as its own self-contained community. Everything from groceries, medical services, health and wellness, and fine dining can be experienced on-site. For now, we are limiting the number of suites we operate to allow each guest more space and more freedom to explore the grounds safely and comfortably.
Grand Caribe is Gold Standard Certified, meaning we have met every requirement and standard set by the government to operate safely. All communal spaces, highly traversed passageways, and touched surfaces are subject to increased cleaning and sanitizing procedures. That includes the front desk check-in counters, elevators, elevator buttons, door handles, public bathrooms, room keys and locks, stair handrails, gym equipment, dining surfaces, and seating areas. Similarly, all vehicles used for transfer services are cleaned and sanitized between guests.
Our goal is for you to have a stress-free and relaxing vacation experience. So even the things that haven’t changed about Grand Caribe have been further enhanced to allow guests to feel entirely at ease by being here. For your peace of mind (and ours), we currently monitor all staff temperatures daily. All staff, spa and physical therapists wear personal protective equipment, and treatment rooms undergo an in-depth sanitization process after each client. The layout has been adjusted at both of our on-site restaurants, so tables are spaced further apart, ensuring a safely distanced dining experience. An à la carte service has replaced the previous buffet-style dining option, and menus are now conveniently accessible on your mobile device by using a QR Code. If you’d rather dine-in, we’ve also expanded our room service menu to allow you to enjoy your meals within the comfort of your private suite. Since each of our suites come with fully furnished kitchens, our on-site grocery and convenience store (the Beach Basket), is also a viable option for a cozy night in – stocked with everything you need to make your meals.
For the adventure seekers, you can still enjoy our inland and island tours with enhanced COVID-19 protocols.
Finally, Grand Caribe is the island’s only resort that features an on-site medical facility, complete with medical evacuation services and COVID-19 rapid antigen testing. Should you test positive during your vacation, we offer flexible and reduced ‘quarantine-cation’ rates.
