In keeping with Belize’s health protocols and guidelines Grand Caribe hosted its 4th Annual Deep-Sea Classic Fishing Tournament over the weekend of July 17th, 18th & 19th. This year due to the pandemic, there was no Captain’s dinner; a WhatsApp group was created to keep all participants updated with the rules and briefing was done through a video. The Sunday, was our award ceremony and family day at the resort.
With over $25,000 in cash and prizes (including Calcutta) – the winners are as follows:
1st Place – Team Nuh Worry Bout Nothin’ – $12,500BZ | Calcutta – $9,000BZ
2nd Place – Team Real Deal – $6,000BZ | Calcutta – $4,500BZ
3rd Place – Team Stir It Up – $2,500BZ
4th Place – Team Strike Force – $750BZ

Our Deep Sea Classic this year, even with all the changes, was a success and we look forward to a better tournament next year! We would like to express a big thank you to Caribena Enterprises and Carey Chen Art for their generous donation towards the Hope Haven Children’s Home, a total of $5,800 was donated to the children’s home.
