The 2016 Lobster Season opens on Wednesday, June 15th and goes through to February 14th, 2017. What better way to celebrate the return of this succulent crustacean than with 12 days of activities to honor their return. The 2016 San Pedro Lobster Fest invites visitors and residents alike to indulge in their favorite lobster dishes. The festivities start on Wednesday, June 15th and end with a grand block party on Saturday, June 25th.
The Lobster Fest passport has quickly become a super fun aspect of the fest. The goal of the passport is to get as many stamps as possible to win big prizes. The passports are completely free. Fill your Lobster Fest 2016 Passport and get a chance to win an entire vacation for two to Ambergris Caye for the 2017 San Pedro Lobster Fest. Prizes include: round trip airfare from Belize International airport to San Pedro, hotel accommodations, golf cart rentals, dinners, lunches, excursions and so much more. Each stamp you acquire makes you eligible to the grand raffle, winners will be announced at the block party. Lobster Fest passport may be acquired at SEAduced by Belize office or at the Lobster Fest event.
Where and when can you get your Passports stamped? Well, during the Lobster Crawl of course. Below is the schedule for this year’s Lobster Crawl!
Wednesday June 15th: Start the season right by vising Amber Beach Bar & Grill and break-in your passport with its first stamp. This promises to be a fun filled evening event complete with music, dancing and great food – Lobster being the main dish!!!
Thursday June 16th: Swing by Caye Coffee Roasting Co. during the day and in the night time, at Pirate’s Treasure Restaurant & Bar
Friday June 17th: Mesa Café is the place to be during the daytime, while Estell’s Restaurant will be hosting the night’s events.
Saturday June 18th: Pirate’s Treasure Restaurant & Bar during the day time, and at The Coconut Cafe/Crazy Canucks in the night time.
Sunday June 19th: Visit The Dive Bar during the day time, and Sandy Point Resorts at Costa Blu Dive and Beach Resort during the night time.
Monday June 20th: Crazy Canucks Bar is the place to be for your stamp during the night time.
Tuesday June 21st: In the day time visit Wahoo’s Lounge, while Pineapple’s Restaurant will be hosting the night time activities.
Wednesday June 22nd: Chocolate Boutique in the day time and Pedro’s Pizza will be serving up their famous lobster pizza in the night time.
Thursday June 23rd: During the day time visit 12 Productions Belize/Lara Goldman and check out her various locally made items while getting your passport stamped. In the night time the Truck Stop is the place to be.
Friday June 24th: Enjoy the inner tubes and ice cold bucket beers at the Palapa Bar- and get your passport stamped. Now, this is a new addition to this Lobster Crawl – Grand Caribe Belize’s affiliate restaurant Rain Rooftop Restaurant is the place to be on Friday night for our mouth-watering lobster fest buffet, glorious sunset views, and memorable moments worth framing.
Saturday June 25th: Swing by SEAduced by Belize in the daytime to get your stamp, and then head over to the Central Park in the late afternoon for the BLOCK PARTY. This event will top off the Lobster Fest and promises to be phenomenal; filled with EVERYTHING lobster, live entertainment, dance performances, raffles, and so much more.
Sunday June 26th: The Lobster Fest AFTER PARTY is at Caribbean Villas – where apart from enjoying finger licking delicious food, and cold libations, you can also enjoy the yearly SAILING REGATTA!!
Daytime activities start around 11am and night time activities start around 5pm.

Sunday June 19th: 3rd Annual Summer Solstice, starting at 10am at our island’s very own Marco Gonzalez Archaeological Site. The site is located some 5.25 miles south of down town San Pedro. Activities include entertainment by Pablo Collado, and this year they’re offering special blessings by Maya Priest Martin Choc, returning from southern Toledo District, to fathers who are present.
June 29th: Dia de San Pedro. Activities for this day will be announced at a later date.
