We posted a few weeks ago about the Ambergris Caye Lobster Festival – one week of parties, pub crawls, food tastings and LOTS and LOTS of lobster that ends with a fantastic street festival on the evening of Saturday, June 20th.
But if you miss this fantastic festival or…if you just crave more lobster fun, our “little sister island” of Caye Caulker celebrates too. An island just the right size for a day visit.
In fact, their Lobster festival is the oldest in the country…
And Grand Caribe resort has put together a day trip – so that you can enjoy Caye Caulker and the festival. Here are a few pictures of our 2nd favorite island in the world and their beautiful party. Only a 30 minute boat ride from the resort.
And by afternoon, everyone congregates at “The Split” – an actual cut in the island – with the most popular bar and a great swimming spot.
