Tropic Air gets high tech with a new Flight Simulator, it is the first of it’s kind in the region. The custom built Flight Simulator was a half a million dollar investment and a collaborative effort between Redbird in Austin Texas, Tropic Air pilots and Tropic’s IT Department.
The simulator will allow for pilots to be better trained to emergency situations by going through the actual procedures. The Redbird simulator is very realistic with full motion capabilities, and the control panel is like just like a real Cessna aircraft. It is equipped with terrain awareness, weather radar and is approved by Federal Aviation Administration in the USA and pilots will be able to log flight time.
