Discover The Island Excursions in Belize

Ambergris Caye is well known for its beautiful beaches and clear blue waters, along with its many island activities and attractions. See what the island and the waters surrounding it have to offer. From a BBQ with family and friends to seeing the reef from a new view by parasailing, the activities in Belize are endless, let us help you find a local adventure for you.

CSI Belize – Crocodile Tour

Enjoy an evening adventure with CSI Belize, “Crocodile Scientific Investigators.”  Join the ACES team on a crocodile research expedition aboard a twenty-foot Carolina skiff. You will cruise through less traveled mangrove areas on the back side of Ambergris Caye in search of crocodiles. You will have the opportunity to see expert Biologists in action as they capture saltwater crocodiles for tag and release.

Ambergris Caye Beach Barbecue

Head north on our Belize beach excursion and enjoy your day at a pristine stretch of beach where the reef meets the island. Here you can snorkel the reef or go beach combing for natural treasures. While you are experiencing tropical nature at its best, your guide will prepare a delicious beach barbecue for you. After lunch, you will have time to relax under the shade of a coconut tree, walk the beach, or go for a swim.

Parasail in Ambergris Caye

Enjoy a bird’s eye view of Ambergris Caye and the barrier reef as you fly above the Caribbean Sea. As you soar above San Pedro and the reef, not only will you get a great aerial view of the island, you will also have a chance to see some marine life. Most common sightings are rays, but if you are lucky, you will catch sight of dolphins or even a shark. On this tour you can enjoy a quiet moment and fly solo or share the fun with a friend by taking the tandem seats.

The reef is visible from the resort and there are kayaks for guests. You can kayak out and tie off to a buoy that is near the reef just a little north of the resort dock for snorkeling. The kids fished off of the lighted dock every night and caught a lot of smaller fish. My son eventually caught a 20 pound Horse-eyed Jack - yummy. Also, great snorkeling under the pier at the beach directly in front of the resort.
